The TYA project officially kicked off with the meeting held on 26–27 November 2025!
Six schools and one university from Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Portugal, the Czech
Republic, and Poland are joining forces to promote EU values and active citizenship
among students and teachers.

What does TYA do?
  • Education It strengthens knowledge of European values and institutions, as well as the rights and responsibilities of European citizens.

  • Active participation Students become Youth Ambassadors, create a European petition, and present it directly in Brussels.

  • Transnational cooperation A network of European schools that engage, cooperate, and learn together on key issues facing today’s Europe.

  • Trust in EU institutions Visits, meetings, and activities designed to bring young people closer to European institutions and reinforce their sense of belonging to the European community.

Training and Educational Innovation

The first year is dedicated to teacher training by Confine Mondo experts, focusing on:

  • EU institutions and values

  •  Social inclusion

  •  Democratic participation

  •  Sustainability

  •  Technologies for digital citizenship

Teachers test innovative methods and, the following year, will co-design a course for
students dedicated to active European citizenship.
Through interactive courses, debates, and projects, students actively engage with their future and
their role as Youth Ambassadors, culminating in a petition they draft to present at European
institutions and share with their local communities.

Why TYA is special

TYA is a space for growth, dialogue, and youth empowerment.
A project that brings together education and civic engagement to build a new generation of
aware, engaged, and responsible European citizens.
